Veracross grading functionality is tailored to suit the needs of each school. Most schools have unique grading and posting requirements. In many cases, grading will vary within a school. For example, lower grades may grade on a proficiency scale, while upper grades use a 0-100% grade system. Grading can also vary from class-to-class where some classes are pass/fail while others are fully graded.
Veracross grading allows for teachers to set up a grading system where they choose the grading method and weights for each assignment type. As teachers enter assignments and assignment grades, student grades are automatically updated on a weighted-average basis. Automatic grade calculations and postings eliminate the need for teachers or administrators to perform any manual calculations. Grade feedback to the students, parents, and administrators is instantaneous. In other words all stakeholders have up-to-the-minute access to student progress. See Parent Portal (hyperlink) for more details.
Report Cards
Report cards are tailored to each school’s needs and can accommodate any of the information residing in the Veracross system. Standard reports are available that print attendance history, grades by time-period, and teacher comments.
Transcripts
Transcripts are generated automatically by posting select data from student records. Class rank and honors is automatically calculated to school-specific standards. Transcripts can incorporate any of the following:
- Classes and grades
- Credits and credit requirements
- Class rank
- Standardized testing results
- Attendance performance
- Honor Roll
- Past school academic performance
